Baby Shower

Ecclesias is one month old today. We held the traditional "Man3 Yue4", or what is commonly referred to baby shower, last Saturday.

It was a chaotic day. Ecclesias could not sleep with all the noise and was super tetchy. I wanted to breastfeed but was too embarrassed to do it in public.

Despite all these inconveniences, it is touching that most of the relatives

and friends we invited managed to turn up with their well-wishes. We had many useful gifts. In fact, we were blessed with an abundance of beautiful babywear, more than he could wear. I just wish that baby would not outgrow them so fast.

A few friends are now heavily pregnant and about to pop. Ecclesias would have no lack of playmates in a few months' time. :-)

We have faith that God is a good God, that as we seek His kingdom and righteousness first, He will add all things back to us (Matt. 6:33). He will provide for our families. Ecclesiastes 3
Everything Has Its Time
1 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born, And a time to die;
A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill, And a time to heal;
A time to break down, And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain, And a time to lose;
A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear, And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
8 A time to love, And a time to hate;
A time of war, And a time of peace.

Ecclesiastes 12
1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, “ I have no pleasure in them”:
2 While the sun and the light, The moon and the stars, Are not darkened, And the clouds do not return after the rain;
3 In the day when the keepers of the house tremble, And the strong men bow down; When the grinders cease because they are few, And those that look through the windows grow dim;
4 When the doors are shut in the streets, And the sound of grinding is low; When one rises up at the sound of a bird, And all the daughters of music are brought low.
5 Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets.
